Energikontor Sydost: Cargo bike inspiration film

Half of the total number of car trips are shorter than 5 km. In urban communities, around 80% of the car trips are shorter than 3-4 km. Where a normal bike or a bus might not be a convenient alternative to a car, an electric cargo bike could very well to the job. In the transition towards a fossil-free transport system, cargo bikes can be one piece of the puzzle.

As inspiration, FEDARENE member Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden has produced a film within their South Baltic programme project CoBiUM. The theme of the film is What can you fit in a cargo bike (spoiler alert – a stormtrooper is just one of the things).

In CoBiUM, the partners carry out pilots in one or more of three thematic areas: private use, municipal services and business logistics. The project will result in guidelines and campaign material for municipalities wanting to replicate the actions of CoBiUM.
