EU Green Week 2021: zero pollution ambition
Pollution accelerates climate change and affects not only the environment but also our daily lives by causing physical and mental health problems. It is one of the main causes of biodiversity loss.
The EU Action Plan toward a Zero Pollution Ambition is part of the European Green Deal. It will encourage better monitoring, reporting, preventing and remeding pollution from air, water, soil and consumer products but also support post COVID-19 green recovery. To promote this Plan, the EU Green Week that will take place from 31 May to 4 June 2021 will be dedicated to EU’s path to zero pollution ambition. Stakeholders and interested citizens will be invited to engage in discussions on how we can reach a toxic-free environment.
ORGANISE AN EVENT
Are you interested in organising an event between 3 May and 31 June 2021? Do not hesitate and become an EU Green Week partner event! Events can explore a wide range of questions, including: how does pollution affect our health and wellbeing, how to achieve zero pollution production and consumption, the need to address the existing pollution legacy, how to establish integrated measuring and tracking of pollution to steer the change or how can we work together to create the zero pollution transformation.
