Over 400 participants gathered at the H2020 Information days
The Information and networking days on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020, Challenge 5 “Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency & Raw Materials” – 2020 calls – took place on 16 and 17 September 2019 in Brussels.
These Info Days are a goal line for everyone to aim for each year if they want to hear inspiring ideas and find new partners for winning proposals on this societal challenge 5.
The event provided lots of opportunities to tap the incredible resource of meeting in person the European Commission Policy Officers who review the project proposals as well as hearing their recommendations.
More than 400 participants discovered the upcoming H2020 funding opportunities and benefitted from tips on key framing H2020 proposals in the policy context to tailor-made innovative proposal communication measures.
On the table were additional recommendations for participants such as: considering other positive impacts not only those expected by the call and demonstrate interest among end users finding adequate role for them. Furthermore, A new cross-cutting call on competitive circular low carbon industries was also released at this event.
The participants of the Environment & Resources Info maxed out their time by joining project pitching and matchmaking sessions.
There will be around € 80 Millions to allocate for innovative research projects that contribute to a greener, resource efficient and climate-resilient economy in sync with the natural environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the targets of the COP21 Paris Agreement.
