Peer learning opportunities for Regions and Energy Agencies

The Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy – Europe is offering regional and sub-regional authorities across Europe the opportunity to take part in peer learning exchanges that aim to increase regional and sub-regional authorities’ capacity and knowledge to develop and implement long-term strategies.

Energy agencies are also invited to take part in the peer learning in the role of mentors.

Applications are open from Monday 18th January to Friday 19 March 2021, 17.00 CET. 

This learning programme will ensure stimulating exchanges including activities such as: 

  • Exchanging ideas on how to encourage and manage private sector commitments  
  • Learning how to co-create a climate pact with citizens and business or to develop a climate neutrality strategy  
  • Hearing from experts on how to transition to 100% renewable energy sources 
  • Giving and receiving tailored feedback and advice on Sustainable Energy and Climate Adaptation Plans (SECAPs) 

Energy agencies will have the opportunity to share and promote their expertise and good practices on climate and energy, not only with the learner region / sub-region, but also with the whole Covenant Community.

As mentors, energy agencis will be reimbursed for travel and accommodation during the mission to the learner region / sub-region, and additionally compensated for their expertise.  

Hosting organizations will be compesanted as well to foster an optimal and fruitful mission.
