A Smart EPC toolbox to help you prepare energy performance contracting projects
Under the Smart EPC project, a number of documents and tools have been recently developed to help standardise nergy Performance Contracting project preparation as well as to help inform local authorities on best practices and real-life case studies.
For better understanding of Smart EPC concept and possibilities as well as on energy and non-energy services that can be included in EPC project, a set of informative documents have been created to facilitate project preparation.
Smart EPC Factsheets
provide insights on the different EPC models, demonstration projects and pilots primarily from H2020 and other similar project databases. Analysis has been carried out of types of technologies (energy and non-energy) used and developed in relation to public lighting. Intended to give local authorities a brief intro into the Smart EPC concept.
Smart EPC Case studies
include hands-on experience of technologies already in operation on markets as well as technologies that are about to hit the market in upcoming years, description of existing energy and non-energy related services and ICT technologies complementary to public lighting infrastructure, with the highlight on specific national and international examples as well as demonstration projects applied in other countries. Intended to inform local authorities on real life case studies of implementation of different energy and non-energy services.
ICT technology and market assessment report
identifies possible additional revenue streams from energy and non-energy related services and determines their financial viability under EPC projects. This report is consolidation of findings and integration of knowledge from previous two tasks that is presented in a cross-country and trans-disciplinary comparison with SWOT analysis and lessons learned from qualitative data collection. Different perspectives of stakeholders and targeted markets are elaborated and provides conclusions on the needs and suggestions for the scope of the ICT technology to be used in future EPC projects. Intended to inform local authorities in more detail on technologies used for provision of additional energy and non-energy services.
ICT Smart EPC concept draft
provides technical specifications for identified ICT technologies as well as energy and non-energy services, used in further development of Smart EPC standardized documentation together with minimal requirements for possibility of their use. The highlight is on implementation mechanisms and specific pilot requirements for every technology and energy or non-energy service if it is to be used in specific Smart EPC contract/project. Intended to help local authorities specify their needs and preferences by defining a set of technical and functional requirements of services to be delivered under Smart EPC project.
Handbook on Smart City other ICT technology in Energy Performance Contracting
includes guidelines of best practice for structuring Smart EPC projects intended for interested parties. This handbook is a compilation of findings from all previous tasks with the main goal of bringing to interested parties all the background and knowledge needed to analyze and decide on ICT and energy and non-energy services to be included in their respective projects. Intended to bring local authorities all the background and knowledge needed for structuring Smart EPC projects.
