Energy communities explained
Last month, Anna Francis, LIFE LOOP project manager from Energy Cities, was invited to the Watt Matters podcast to talk about “neighbourhood watts”. During the interview with David Weston (FORESIGHT Climate & Energy), Michaela Holl (Agora Energiewende) and Jan Rosenow (The Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP)), Anna highlights the important of role of energy communities in managing the energy transition and reaching local resilience. The conversation focuses also on the current framing and regulations at national and local level following the most recent EU policy developments.
Anna also explains how to get engaged, what stumbling blocks need to be removed and what we need to achieve in the next 10 years. She shares both her personal experience with being involved in an energy communities as well as great stories from places all over Europe she and her team are working with.
