Tampere, Finland: A European pilot city in low-energy buildings

After the TARMO+ project promoting low-energy and carbon solutions in residential housing, last June Tampere welcomed an open house event in two recently retrofitted buildings as part of the EU GUGLE Project.

The event, organised by Tampere Energy Agency, attracted 200 people willing to see what had been achieved during the renovation works.

The limited liability housing company Pohjolankatu 18-20, known as BEST 7, managed to reach 55 % of energy savings in purchased energy by replacing (…)
