Ukrainian cities’ call to the Energy Cities network: You can support access to energy
The issue of access to energy is crucial this winter, all over Europe. Power cuts, difficulty or even impossibility to heat our homes… The energy crisis spares (almost) no one. But in Ukraine, it is taking on a different dimension.
Today we relay a call from Ukrainian cities in the Energy Cities network. Ivano Frankivsk, Lviv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Chortkiv, Chugiv, Poltava, and the Energy-Efficient Cities of Ukraine association, need the help of their peers as we are entering the winter period.
How to support Ukrainian cities
Any city in the network that wishes to provide technical and/or financial assistance, to facilitate access to energy for our fellow citizens in Ukraine (solar panels, power generators…) or to ensure sustainable reconstruction, can:
- Help Ukrainian cities through the European Alliance of Cities and Regions for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, managed by the European Committee of the Regions (an alliance of which Energy Cities is a member),
- Contact us to get in touch with our Ukrainian members.
